Editorial starter: a workflow proposal you can adapt before conducting an experiment.
Define the task
Describe the decision the research should support. Keep the prompt set and success criteria in a versioned document. Decide what requires human review before automating collection.
Preserve the inputs
Store exact prompts, timestamps, platform settings, and source URLs. Keep raw responses separate from your interpretation. This makes it possible to revisit a conclusion when definitions change.
Add review checkpoints
Automation can organize records, but ambiguous citations and unsupported claims need inspection. Review a sample of each batch and log corrections to the classification rules.
Start small
Use a short pilot to find missing fields and unclear definitions. Expand only after another person can follow the protocol and reproduce the classification process.
